Experimenting

I have been contemplating doing 8 x 11 layouts instead of the customary 12 x 12 and this weekend I took the plunge and got started.

With the smaller page size I decided it was best to keep the design simple, thank you to Nicole S., Fran Tynan and Leanne Stamatellos for giving me the inspiration to create simply.

I'm looking forward to continuing my relationship with this size!

Vintage Cards

I love the old vintage photos and they make such a wonderful 'embellishment'.  I have spent alot of time searching for images that I love and have been busy making some cards.  It's fun to gather all the different bits and pieces - and the paper, it's absolutely gorgeous!  I found some Grace taylor paper the other day and was amazed when i paid for it that it was only half the price I thought it was!!

Here are a some cards I have completed.

A Reminder ...

While blog surfing, I found this and thought it a good idea to post here ...
I have an automatic backup with my Apple Time Capsule.  Someone suggested that I should also have an offsite back up.  With so many precious files on my computer (including a few thousand photos) this is a major consideration for me!

So if you haven't done this for a while ...

Micro Sculpture

Here are some amazing images of some equally amazing sculptures ... imagine the precise movements, the care needed and the eyesight required to work with something this tiny!  I thought they needed to be shared!

Getting ready to sell

Well, having been busy making some altered albums, I am now ready to upload them to both Madeit.com.au and Etsy (just need to work out shipping costs!!).  If anyone knows how it works, especially for Etsy, please let me know!

I love albums/notebooks and it is inspiring to write in one that I totally love.  I am also in love with the vintage/shabby chic look so I am trying to create albums that represent this style.

I am also making some vintage cards to sell.

Here are a few of my albums ...

These are the first I have completed.  More coming!
